Την Πέμπτη 8 Οκτωβρίου 2026 στις 10.00 στην αίθουσα 201 στο πλαίσιο των μαθημάτων Διοίκηση Τουριστικών Προορισμών και Ειδικές και Εναλλακτικές Μορφές Τουρισμού θα πραγματοποιηθεί διάλεξη από τον Dr. Johan Winbladh από το City University in Bratislava, Slovakia (https://finweek.sk/speaker/johan-winbladh/). Η διάλεξη είναι ανοικτή για όσους φοιτητές και φοιτήτριες του Τμήματος ενδιαφέρονται να την παρακολουθήσουν.
Το περιεχόμενο της διάλεξης του Dr. Winbladh έχει ως εξής:
- Theoretical Foundations: Introduction to tourism economics, defining exogenous (macro-environmental, global) and endogenous (local, structural) determinants of growth.
- The Greek Island Paradigm: Overview of the unique geographic, economic, and cultural characteristics shaping tourism in the Aegean and Ionian archipelagos.
- Exogenous Shock Analysis: Examining the impact of external forces such as global economic recessions, geopolitical shifts, changing aviation policies, and international travel trends.
- Endogenous Resource Management: Assessing internal constraints, including localized carrying capacity, freshwater scarcity, waste management, and native infrastructure limitations.
- Overtourism and Seasonality: Analyzing the structural compression of tourist arrivals and its ecological and socio-economic consequences on local island communities.
- Sustainable Destination Governance: Reviewing policy frameworks, community-led initiatives, and public-private partnerships aimed at balancing internal and external pressures.
- Crisis Management and Resilience: Case studies on how Greek island destinations adapt to sudden external disruptions while maintaining internal socio-economic stability.
- Future Strategic Horizons: Interactive workshop focusing on sustainable destination models, diversification of the tourism product, and long-term regional development strategies.
